This week in Intro to GIS, I learned the essential map elements required to make a proper cartographical map. First analyzing the geo-lineage of the metadata used, to determine its source and relativity, the next step was to geo-process the data to retrieve and highlight data elements needed. As we were creating a broad UWF Campus map, to pinpoint its location within Escambia County, FL, we extracted local interstate roads and cities to create the map below.
